Something about this city always gives my tummy butterflies. Being home is so refreshing. Literally. I have to stop and take in the air slowly sometimes. More to come on my stateside guilty pleasures soon.

Viva Las Vegas

Las Vegas is such an interesting city.

I had been before, but never as a 21 year old. I even got carded while WATCHING roulette! But I flashed my over 21 i.d. and felt pretty cool. However, is this city really the city that never sleeps? We stayed at the New York New York, a great deal witha  jacuzzi in our room, a little bit excessive. But hey, we had to live the real stereotype while in Vegas.

All the signs were fascinating. We walked up and down the strip the first afternoon. The hotels are so flippin’ clever more than anything else. Roaming towards the Paris hotel, we realized they even had old Parisian trashcans outside. Props to people who had the fun job of decorating these places— as we proceeded to get Eiffel Tower filled Strawberry Daiquiris….paradise.

When in Vegas, be sure to swing by the Foundation Room at the top of Mandalay Bay, a hip club/bar with a breathtaking view of the strip up, with top 40 hits blasting and extremely strong cocktails. Then on your way north pop by the Cathouse in the Luxor hotel for a bit of groovin’. One thing is for sure, you can never see all of Vegas in one trip. Next time, there is a whole ‘nother world to tackle…
